Teens, tweens, and everyone in between are welcome at the Y. Your membership is the first step to meeting new friends, playing sports, getting in shape to feel great, and reaching academic goals. We’ve created the following programs to ensure a safe, fun, and successful environment for all Y members.

We believe all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.
That’s why, through the YMCA of Snohomish County, thousands of local children and teens cultivate values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.
Programs vary by branch.

GOP (Girls of Promise)

Join with other middle-school girls to gain leadership skills and personal confidence through the Girls of Promise program. We’ll talk about leadership, healthy choices, self-images, breaking stereotypes, and topics of your choice.

Late Night

Come take over the Y after hours. Themes and activities vary by month but we always guarantee you will have fun!

MAP (My Achievers Program)

MAP motivates and advocates for disadvantaged and underrepresented youth to achieve higher education goals. Focused on social justice, MAP encourages students to have meaningful conversations about culture, identity, social responsibility and more. We also provide help with homework, preparation for the transition to high school, and opportunities for college and career exploration.

Pacific Region Conference (PRC)

Join other high school teens from Washington and Canada over Thanksgiving Weekend for the Pacific Region Conference (PRC).

The goal of PRC is to provide a safe, supportive environment for teens to explore diverse topics with their peers. Topics can range from identifying values, building communication skills, to relationships and making choices.

Volunteer Opportunities

The YMCA offers various volunteer opportunities in different areas. Contact your local YMCA to find out how you can get involved.

Youth & Government

Engage in community service through civics! Participants discuss current events and issues important to them and our community while working on public speaking, leadership, and social skills. Weekly meetings prepare youth for a four day mock legislative session in Olympia in early May.

Youth Development Center (YDC)

Bring your friends and make new ones at the place youth love to hang. Loaded with board games, video games, and craft supplies there is always something to do in the YDC! A staff member is always on hand to supervise, play a game, or help with homework.
